Mixed Martial Arts(MMA)
|
|
MMA is a term used for no-holds-barred, full
contact, combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques,
from a mixture of martial arts traditions and non-traditions, to be
used in competitions. The rules allow the use of striking and grappling
techniques, both while standing and on the ground. Such competitions
allow martial artists of different backgrounds to compete.

Muay Thai/Kickboxing
|
Muay Thai is referred to as "The Art of the Eight Limbs", as the
hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extesively in this art. FSA/Team Tabuso brand of this art was developed from an ode to
the traditional aspects of the art as well as an ongoing adaptation to the modern striking combat arts. As athletics continue to
grow and get better, we make sure that the training is performed at a
level above the rest.
Our instructors have years of martial arts and
ring experience to ensure sport-specific training and safety. Mark Tabuso, head coach, is a former multi-federation champion.
Coupled with Kinesiology degree and Physical Education experience, he continues to build top quality athletes and champions.
"We use the most modern methods of training with old school work ethic."

Kids' Class
|
Our kids classes involve an innovative
approach toward developing
strong and healthy kids knowledgeable in multiple
martial arts. Our
classes incorporate Muay Thai Kickboxing, Submission Grappling,
and
fitness, something which is lacking for the children in today’s
society.
This comprehensive program is not offered
anywhere else in the
bay area. Our fitness classes will focus on strength,
power, balance,
speed, reaction time, agility, endurance, and coordination.
FSA's kids
program will ultimately complement the basic foundation principles of
the martial arts: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and
indomitable spirit.
